So, after 12 days, tons of sequins, tulle, custom gowns from Dolce & Gabbana, Celine, Armani Prive, and sparkling jewels from Chopard, Cartier, Bvlgari and Pomellato, Cannes Film Festival concluded on Saturday.

The festival was always going to be slightly muted from years gone by.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Araya A. Hargate, Chris Lee, and Fan Bingbing’s absence from the festival left a gaping hole at this year’s event, and we will look forward to them returning in 2022.

With COVID cases rising in both China and India, the ladies made the right decision to skip this year’s festival.  It wouldn’t have been a good look for them to be gliding down the red carpet in Couture gowns and million dollars…
