Two years ago today, a beautiful ceremony to dedicate the Original 9, Gladys Heldman, and Althea Gibson pavers in my neighborhood in the “Avenue of the Aces” at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center took place.

Last year was the 50th anniversary of the Original 9.
