There were many more gorgeous ladies, and a gent who joined Jennifer Hudson on the red carpet for the LA premiere of ‘Respect’ on Sunday (August 8).

Summer premieres don’t have to be all about floral gowns, or gingham prints.

However, I found Hailey Kilgore’s Jason Wu Collection Fall 2021 gown a little too sombre for such a celebratory occasion.

I think that between the colour, style, sheer volume, and black carpet, she got a little lost in this.

On the flip side, Thuso Mbedu also wore black, yet there was a light airy feel about her Christian Dior look on account of the sheer point d’esprit skirt, which was teamed with a classic off-the-shoulder jacket.
