Joe Exotic hit headlines last year as the Netflix documentary Tiger King aired.

But now, Joe’s former zoo lies abandoned as he remains in prison for two counts of murder for hire amid a failed, and alleged, assassination plot against animal rights activist, Carole Baskin.

A decade on since his first visit to the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park in Oklahoma, Louis Theroux returned for his new BBC documentary ‘Shooting Joe Exotic’ to see what happened to the former controversial zoo.

In the footage, Louis can be seen walking along rows of empty cages that once housed the wild animals in worrying conditions which viewers witnessed in the Netflix documentary.
