Damian Lewis says Helen McCrory was ‘funny as hell’ in touching personal message

Damian Lewis has shared an emotional tribute to his wife Helen McCrory after the actress died on Friday at the age of 52.

The Peaky Blinders star passed away after a battle with cancer and husband Damian, 50, said in a statement that she died “surrounded by a wave of love from friends and family”.

Now, writing in The Sunday Times, the Homeland actor has penned a fitting tribute to the star, calling her “the meteor in our life”.

Damian and Helen got married in 2007 and had two children together; Manon, 14, and Gulliver, 13.
