Comedian Adam Hills defends cancel culture and urges comics to ‘be more responsible’


Comedian Adam Hills has weighed in with his thoughts on the apparent fear of “cancel culture” in comedy.

The Australian comic has argued that if you say something which loses your audience then “you have probably said the wrong thing”.

The 50-year-old told News Corp that the commotion surrounding cancel culture has been taken too far by people on both sides of the debate.

He said: “There is a group of people who would like to think that cancel culture is more than it is and there is a group of people who like to think they can ban stuff.”
