???? Did you know… no-one on my boat is allowed on shore at the swim finish due to Channel Swimming rules?

This is why I rarely have any photos or vision of my swim finishes within 200m of my finish.

I was very, very lucky to be able to finish on a beach for this crossing (I often finish at the bottom of Cap Griz Ney ⛰ which is inaccessible on foot) AND to have my French friends there AND for them to kindly take photos and videos!! ???? ????

I hadn’t seen my ???????? French friends for 2 years before so I was very excited and called out ‘Bonjour’ and ‘Mon amie’ (‘my friend’) to them in joy ✨ I was not allowed to touch them.

I know a lot of people in Australia are going through a very tough and prolonged lock-down right now. ????

I am very sorry to hear of this and please know that I care deeply for your situation and I do not take my current freedoms or opportunities for granted.????

I represent my country ???????? proudly everytime I cross the English Channel and I hope to bring some inspiration and hope to those of you back home ????
