Following a very lacklustre 2021 awards season, Andra Day returned to the red carpet for the 2021 BET Awards held at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday (June 27) in Los Angeles, California with two looks.

Prior to awards season I felt I had a clear idea of what her style was, now, I’m not so sure.

When it comes to drop-waist dresses, they can be a bit awkward.  Factor in a peplum and you’re likely to be making things even difficult for yourself, but I did find myself warming to this Rosie Assoulin Spring 2019 dress.

I’m not sure if it is due to the colour, the print, the summery vibes or the fact that Andra needs a win on the red carpet.
