Tessa Thompson Wore Dries van Noten Promoting 'Passing'

Tessa Thompson closes the week with her third look promoting her new film, ‘Passing.’

While I loved her premiere look, this look from Dries van Noten’s Fall 2021 collection is the most intriguing.

Mostly because it feels like three looks in one.

The elements don’t make sense.

Here we have an oversized blazer with a single red chiffon sleeve, paired with a draped pink satin skirt.

So why do I like it?

Tessa.

It’s much like her Christopher John Rogers 2020 Soul Train Awards look, where I am buying into her in the look rather than the look itself.

I’m trying to picture this on Cate Blanchett and Tilda Swinton, and I feel like both would give this look the same energy.
