Tessa Thompson continued to promote ‘Passing’ which she stars alongside Ruth Negga.

For Thursday’s press day, she wore a Chanel Resort 2022 fringed look.

My first thought was “would I like this on Penelope Cruz?”

And my answer is yes, if she could breathe the same life into this tweed set as Tessa has.I feel like a lot of time – like 90% of it – it’s all in the attitude, and state of mind.

Tessa is giving us confident, modern woman yet it still pays homage to the 1920s era of the film. Which isn’t easy to do.

The styling also helps sell the look to me.

I’m hoping we get one more premiere out of this promo tour, as I’m looking for another big moment from Tessa.
