Christian Dior was represented at the Costume Institute Gala that celebrated the opening of the exhibition ‘In America: A Lexicon of Fashion’ at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (September 13) in New York with three attendees.
Yara Shahidi and Dior have hit a sweet spot of late, and that was highlighted by this custom Dior Haute Couture brown embroidered silk dress with a gold tulle cape.
Her look was inspired by Josephine Baker who was dubbed as the “Black Venus” and “Creole Goddess.”
She was also known for her iconic looks and beauty that symbolized Black American culture during the 1920s and made her an international star.
