Remember on the first day when we were worried that Cynthia Erivo might give us a succession of muted looks during the 2021 Venice Film Festival because she was on the jury?

Oh how wrong we were.

Because on the 10th day of the festival – for Friday nights premiere of ‘The Last Duel’ – she served up one of her best looks of all time in Gucci.

There is so much going on (graphic stripes, and the structured bodice accented with dual colour feathers) but she is in control and never in danger of being overwhelmed.

This is the Cynthia I absolutely adore, as she loves to wear the things that most wouldn’t gravitate towards because the look appears too high fashion and too hard to wear.
