I ran from the announcing booth to the ramp right after @thvertalert pro finals in order to compete in Best Trick, the final event of our vert-centric weekend. I must have gotten a little carried away with the energy in the arena as I decided to try a frontside cab revert, having only made one before way back in 1995. It seemed like a brazen place & time to commit to one of the hardest reverts I’ve ever known. After several attempts, it was even more difficult than I remembered. The competition time expired, the livestream was over, and awards had been handed out… but I kept stubbornly trying like Kevin Costner in Tin Cup. As I reached the breaking point of exhaustion – and the dawning humiliation of being Last Man Falling – my feet stayed on and it actually worked. Thanks to everyone in attendance for the warm (and patient) support throughout this battle, and special thanks to @godaddy for sponsoring this spontaneous part of the event.  And congrats to Jimmy Wilkins & Sky Brown for landing their winning tricks in the allotted time like true professionals.
