What a tremendous end to the Olympic Games for the United States, and especially the game of golf. Barbara and I send our heartfelt congratulations to two young and talented Americans in @xanderschauffele and @nellykorda. We are so proud of them, and I know all of America is proud of them!

Xander is just 27 and has been knocking on the door for a long time. What a great up-and-down on the final hole—a pitch from about 100 yards to a couple feet to save par and win Olympic Gold! Incredibly happy for you, Xander!

And congrats Nelly Korda! I’ve known Nelly since she was 13 years old. I could see then, when I played with Nelly and her big sister Jessica, how competitive she was—even at 13. As they grew up, Nelly and Jessica have worked with each other, rooted for each other, and both have been very successful. To now see Nelly, the No. 1 player in the world, win Gold at the Olympics, what a thrilling thing for the Korda family! And to be honest, what a thrilling thing for me to feel I have been blessed to have a connection to her and the Korda family.

Well done, Nelly! All of America is happy for you! We sincerely hope you and your family continue to have success in whatever you do.
