It was a great Sunday in golf, watching two tremendous men win for the first time on the @PGATOUR! Congratulations to @abrahamancer for victory at the @wgcfedex after winning a three-man playoff. And well done to @erikvanrooyen for winning the Baracuda Championship played on the Tahoe Mountain Club’s Old Greenwood Golf Course, which our @NicklausCo team and I designed in 2004.

I met Abraham when he won the Jack Nicklaus Award for National Player of the Year at the junior-college level. He was polished and confident, and you just felt he had a promising future. He’s been at the top of many of the biggest tournaments, so it was nice to see him break through!

Erik is a member at The Bear’s Club and someone I’ve gotten to know personally. I’ve rooted for him for quite some time. Erik works hard at his game, including the mental side, and he has reached out to me several times to discuss the approach to the game, including before playing Augusta National for the first time. He’s been very focused on securing status on the PGA TOUR, and I am delighted Erik was able to do that with his first victory!
