I was waiting for enough men to hit the red carpet during the 2021 Cannes Film Festival and when I saw Josh O’Connor, I knew the time had come for the roundup.

‘The Crown’ actor and Loewe have struck up a very fruitful partnership which flourished during awards season and continued into this festival.

The majority haven’t been as enthused as I have about his Loewe choices which are often less conventional and more sailor, or private schoolboy.

That theme wasn’t apparent in his latest tailoring.

As you know I love to see colours other than black, grey or navy on the red carpet, but the shoes have to be part of the equation as well.Sadly the black loafers didn’t float my boat as much as the suit…
