“If we want scientists and engineers for the future, we should be cultivating the girls as much as the boys”

38 years ago today, on June 18, 1983, my friend Sally Ride became the first American woman in space, and opened up new doors in STEM for girls everywhere.

We had the honor of being inducted into the first-ever California Hall of Fame together on December 6, 2006, as the last photo shows.

Her legacy endures!
